Hi, I’m Alexandra.

I was blessed to experience the positive effects of touch at a young age. As a child I suffered from severe growing pains in my legs. At night in bed my mother would rub my shins and calves and knees to help relieve the pain so I could fall asleep. This was my first experience with the magic that loving touch could deliver. I also struggled for years, decades really, with insomnia. I had a very curious mind that was always on and never wanted to turn off. My mother helped me relax at night and get out of my head and into my body by gently caressing my face and scalp. This always helped soothe me into a deep slumber, when nothing else would work. I believe these 2 positive and memorable childhood experiences helped shape what would later become my profession and my passion, helping people to experience the healing power of loving touch.

I was born and raised in the small New England state of New Hampshire, to an American father and Mexican mother. We spoke both languages daily at home, and Mexican culture was always as important a part of my upbringing as my American culture. We visited my large family in Monterrey, Mexico every summer and most Christmas’s until I left for university. After graduating in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration I took some time to work as a nanny and in a gym, where my love for health and fitness continued to grow. I attended the massage focused North Eastern Institute of Whole Health from 2012-2014, and started my first business, Seacoast Muscle Therapy, upon graduation. My fascination with the body’s innate ability to heal only grew with each new client that arrived on my doorstep. Being witness to people’s pain and struggles expanded my already present strong sense of empathy. I wanted to learn how to help, how to support and how to teach the techniques and tips that helped keep my body, mind and soul healthy throughout a very physical and demanding career. I love sharing knowledge and stories. My clients are family to me. They’re my brothers and sisters, and I treat each one as such.  The only thing I love more than giving massages, is learning new techniques and schools of thought to support my own and my clients’ healing journeys. I feel so lucky to get to do what I love every day. My profession is filled with feeling and depth, with connection and satisfaction, and I am eternally grateful to share this gift.

After 6 years in business I decided to follow my heart and my ancestry by moving to my mother’s land, Mexico lindo y querido. I traveled the coast on the mainland searching for a place that felt like home. When I landed in Baja California Sur for the first time in 2017, I knew that I had found what I had been seeking. I could not get enough of the wide-open spaces, the vast desert landscapes, the bluest skies I had ever seen and both magnificent oceans, teeming with life. This was a place where my adventurous spirit could explore to her hearts content. This was a place where my soul could find peace. This was the place where I could root down and expand. The land is what drew me, the community and the culture are what have kept me here. (ok and my awesome boyfriend, as varied and fascinating as the land itself). Moving to Baja and basically starting over in life was the largest transition I have ever faced. There were so many challenges that forced me to face my fears, my self-limiting beliefs, and my deeply held traumas. I couldn’t hide from myself here in the desert. I couldn’t drown myself in work and busy-ness. I was here to heal, to feel and learn whole news depths of love and strength. This journey has been initiation after initiation, and I am here for it. Every moment is an opportunity to learn and to choose love, over and over. These lessons have poured over into my work with clients, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. While my work has always been very clinically informed with a lot of formal education and additional professional training, my intuition and heart centered abilities have expanded here in Mexico, and I’m so grateful to be able to share that with clients.

When I’m not working with clients you can find me at the gym working out at a variety of strength training classes, strolling in the desert or on the beach with my dog Lua, fishing or free diving in the ocean with my adventurous boyfriend, or curled up with an enticing non fiction book.  I believe that life is meant to be lived with love in your heart, the fresh air in your hair, and sunlight on your skin. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, I’m looking forward to listening to yours!
